Terrible Customer Service!

I was web shopping for a store that would help deliver an exceptional experience for our friends through the gift we were sending them. Came across this one with a pleasing website and good collection of gift choices. Placed an order but it could not be delivered on the day as requested. Then started the nightmare. I had to call up customer service to check on it and boy! did I regret wasting my time on the call. Not sure how can a business like this survive when there is absolutely no sense of customer service. They were not ready to listen to anything I said, kept me on hold and switched to someone else w/o letting me know that I would be transferred. The second person too just kept saying the same thing again and again. No sense of listening to a customer at all. Long short, the people on the other side of the call were the least courteous and could never understand the true meaning of a gift - that there are emotions involved apart from the dollars. I had used their services thinking they would be better off in understanding that. There is no empathy at all and probably one of the worst customer service experiences I had. Of course they did not agree to give me a refund. So finally I asked them cancel my order and also keep the entire amount that I had paid for it. I will not be any richer by getting back the $70+ that I had spent on it but I sincerely hope that people do not deal with them anymore. They might be good for the few whose order could be delivered the very first time but if that were not the case and you have to deal with the customer service people - good luck to you!! They are sincerely not worth wasting time on. I would be better off ordering from amazon than them! They do not provide any experience unlike what a gift store would be expected to do. They are just after your money!!
